The Supplement Audit

I hunt down fake supplements so you don’t eat them.

The Mission I am a digital nomad currently living in Asia. My day job is analyzing data and finding the truth behind the algorithm. My hobby is finding the truth behind the suspiciously cheap brands and seemingly fake labels.

The supplement market in Southeast Asia is flooded with counterfeits—from "zinc" that is actually crushed chalk, to "Vitamin D" that is just rancid palm oil in a rubber shell. These aren't just a waste of money; they are dangerous.

Why I Do This I have a wife with severe allergies. A "fake" pill isn't just annoying for us; it’s a medical risk. When I found a "Nature’s Bounty" bottle filled with peanut-smelling oil instead of the soybean oil listed on the label, I realized how deep the rot goes.

I am not a chemist, and I don’t have a lab. I use simple, undeniable tests that you can do at home:

  • The 3-Day Water Test: Does it dissolve or just swell?

  • The Vinegar Test: Does it survive "stomach acid"?

  • The Freeze Test: Is the oil actually what they say it is?

The Goal To document the scams, name the sellers, and provide a permanent record of what these fake products actually look like. If a seller claims 366 sold, I want 366 people to see my audit before they swallow a single pill.

Disclaimer: I am a consumer advocate, not a doctor. These tests are physical and chemical observations, not laboratory assays. If a pill fails these basic tests, it belongs in the bin, not your body.
